Here in Hood River, we have access to a large network of amazing mountain bike trails. Whether you are looking for smooth flow trails, or technical rocky riding, there is a large variety of riding that's only a short drive from downtown Hood River. No matter your riding level, you can find a trail that will suit your abilities. Thanks to all the volunteer trail work and trail builders in the area, we have purpose built mountain biking that is designed for fun. Check out some of our favorite trails listed below.

Post Canyon

Post Canyon is less than 5 miles away from downtown, and is a large network of fast and fun flow trails. Enjoy table tops, tall berms, wood features and more while ripping through these purpose built trails. All of the features are low consequence, so you can ride the trail at your abilities from beginner to expert.

Syncline

Syncline trails are just across the river in Washington. These are exposed, technical rocky trails that look right at the massive Columbia River. Since the the climate is drier, there are fewer trees, and the majority of the trails are rocky, Syncline is often rideable year round. Perched on the edge of Coyote Wall, this offers huge views and epic riding. Trails are best suited for experienced riders.
