Sales Lead/Assistant Manager

The Sales Lead Assistant Manager plays a pivotal role in our retail environment, directly influencing our sales team's performance and our customer's satisfaction. This position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day management of the sales floor, driving sales through exceptional customer service, and embodying the passion and values of Mountain View Cycles. The ideal candidate is a cycling enthusiast with a knack for leadership, a talent for sales, and a vision for excellence in retail management.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead by example, providing outstanding customer service, and driving sales on the floor.

-Help train and develop the sales team, providing them with the tools they need to succeed.

-Step in to resolve customer issues with a positive, customer-first approach.

-Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-energy store culture that reflects our passion for cycling and community.

-Assist in managing inventory, including ordering, receiving, and merchandising products.

-Help plan and execute in-store events and promotions to drive traffic and sales.

-Cultivate strong relationships with vendors, local businesses, and the cycling community to enhance our presence and impact.

-Organize and support community events, rides, and initiatives that promote cycling and active lifestyles.

-Stay current on product knowledge and trends in the cycling industry.

Qualifications:

-Proven experience in retail sales, with leadership experience being a significant plus.

-A passion for cycling and deep knowledge of bicycles and related products.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.

-Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.

-Passionate about cycling and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.

-Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays, to support store operations and events.

-High school diploma required; a degree in business or related field preferred.
