Got a bike you’re no longer riding? Mountain View Cycles makes it simple to sell your bike on consignment or trade it in for store credit. Our program keeps quality bikes circulating in the Gorge while helping you get the most value out of your current ride.

How the Program Works
1. Bring Your Bike In
Stop by the shop with your bike for an in-person evaluation. We’ll check overall condition, safety, and resale potential.
We accept quality road, gravel, and mountain bikes that align with the products we proudly sell.
We do not except bikes under $500
2. Assessment & Prep
If your bike is accepted:
A $40 non-refundable assessment fee covers inspection, minor adjustments, and pricing consultation
If additional parts or labor are needed to prepare the bike for sale, we’ll provide a quote for approval
Our goal is to make sure every consignment bike is safe, functional, and ready to ride.
3. Pricing & Listing
Our staff will work with you to set a competitive and realistic sale price
Bikes are displayed in-store and promoted through Mountain View Cycles channels
Pricing may be adjusted over time if needed to help the bike sell
Payout Options
Once your bike sells, choose the option that works best for you:
75% in Store Credit — best value, perfect for a new bike, gear, or service
65% Cash Payout — issued by check
Assessment fees and approved service costs are deducted from the final payout.
Prefer a Trade-In?
Want immediate value instead of waiting for a sale? Choose a trade-in credit:
Receive store credit on the spot
Use it toward new or used bikes.
Trade-in values are based on bike condition, market demand, and current resale data using Bicycle Blue Book and Upway as valuation references
Trade-ins offer convenience, while consignment typically offers the highest return — we’re happy to help you decide.
Consignment Terms
Standard consignment period: 90 days
Payout or credit issued within 7–14 days after sale
Unsold bikes may be picked up at the end of the term
Valid ID and bike serial number required
Mountain View Cycles reserves the right to decline any bike.
